Extremely bad experience. The "security" staff treat paying customers like suspects at best, but more often as prisoner inmates. I've received a shaking-down and rummaging through my possessions, together with my wife, for the last time from these people. They never found the slightest thing out of order, and we gave them no reason to be suspicious. We've never done anything wrong, and I strongly resent being treated like this.

Being menaced by a bunch of thugs who are just itching to haul you off, or find anything less than total co-orporation from you, is not what you want at the end of a holiday or business trip, while they go right through all your personal things.

We'll never visit Cardiff airport again, and definitely advise everyone else to avoid it too, at least until their security thugs get the idea that we're citizens, not criminals. It's a bit further, but we'll use Birmingham or Bristol from now on.
