Did not take taxis. Even if you take a taxi from taxi stand they are not certified. A criminal operation. Get Uber. Taxis will charge you with fake prices I should have paid 3 euro to go about 5-7 minutes to nearby ferry. I would have tipped big even. He knew I had to get on my frrry and did t have much time to waste. He would not give me my stuff in his trunk until I paid 30 euro , as his meter said. Which is fake of course. Catania airport allows criminal operations and thugs to operate from their “licensed” taxi stand. It’s all pretty corrupt in Siciky still and many many many thieves. But the licensed airport taxi stand is the one place you would expect to be regulated and safe.

I have now since two days tried to recuperate my lost suitcase, in vain.
We were given a couple of telephone numbers yesterday, after filing the lost piece of luggage at Lost & Found at the arrival hall of Catania Airport.
I have been in touch with Air Malta, who has confirmed that my suitcase was delivered to you this morning at 7 am rom an incoming plane from Malta.
My question is, why is it impossible to get through to your airport?
I have vital things in my suicase, medicine etc and I need to retrieve the suicase as soon as possible.
