Meixian Airport (MXZ) is an international airport as it has a domestic and international departure/arrival hall. I had the impression that this airport is not run by Civilian Autthority.

There are regular Southern China Airlines flights (less than 1 hr.) to Hong Kong and Guangzhou. Due to the low traffice volume , the return fare is rather expensive from Hong Kong. The airport public facilities are under utilized and therefore standard are not up to par as compared with other international airports. I believe this airport will have a greater significance importance in the years to come.
