Passenger feedback
Reto Fuchs (Switzerland) - November 7, 2014
I arrived in Kuantan from Kuala Lumpur on November 6 at 9.45 with Malaysia Airlines together with my wife. In the arrival hall one of our 2 bags was on the belt already, the other bag not yet. Then nothing did not seem to happen for a long time. So I went outside to see what was going on. Right at this moment, 2 baggage handlers started to unload a cart to the baggage belt. Honestly, I have never seen something like that. I am not naive and not expecting my bags to be handled with utmost care... But this was incredible. They really seemed to try their best to shatter the bags the way they threw them on the belt. The best was, when they picked up the second bag for which I was waiting; it fell down the cart and the 'Fragile' sticker became visible. One of the guys saw it, made a remark to his colleague and literally throw it up in the air to land on the belt upon which both guys had a good laugh. It was very obvious that they were making fun of the 'Fragile' sticker and were not only risking to destroy something but rather hoping to do so. Then one of the guys spotted me and warned his colleague. Seriously, this is appalling behaviour. Certainly not the best promotion for tourism in the area. I do understand that not everybody likes the tourists arriving with their fancy bag and fragile stickers. This behaviour is unacceptable and unnerving. I will advise my friends to avoid your airport.
