Customs staff at Calicut Airport is a joke tbh. Bunch of unprofessionals working as a team and ripping of expats.

On my recent Journey from DXB-CCJ, They just asked for 20K INR bribe for my professional camera equipment's that I've been using for the last 6 years. Finally when the aged staff at customs (Himself told me he is from Trivandrum) said how much I can give. I said I have only 200 AED. He told me to put the money under the log book and leave. He just wasted my 45mins.Filthy bastards. I also remember a crooked lady named "Mini" or something. They all are in the game. Too much drama going on at Calicut Airport.

YESTERDAY I WAS TRAVELED FROM CALICUT TO DUBAI ON INDIGO AIRLINE.
CUSTOMS OFFICERS CAUGHT MY e cigarette and they have informed that, it is not allowed to Carrie the same while travelling.

as per the advise of Indigo security staff, today i have send one of my friend to get back the same .but unfortunately it is disappeared and there is no any evidence in customs records that, they caught such a thing..

it is really surprising...

it is a valuable thing and i have to get it back ..

any of customs officer , he took it and there is no any record about it.
it is very bad..

Hi. I had lost a Mobile Phone inside the Airport Premises on the 17 Aug, '19, while travelling to Muscat. I had informed Airsewa, but had not got any positive response. since the Phone was lost at the Waiting Area on the 1st floor, next to the Duty Free, I would believe that the Phone can be traced by examining the CCTV. My efforts in contacting and addressing the issue is fruitless and would be grateful if anyone can guide me.

Very worst Airport In india , very bad customers, they are looters , bribers , thefters .

Definitely its very bad behaviour from staffs of this airport

Today one of friend departed from calicut international airport.she is a Swedish citizen when we reached airport, suddenly my friend got some problem with eye.we went to the medical assistant team in the airport.but they don't have atleast an eye drop there.we searched for medical shoes nearby but couldn't find one.i surprise what will happen if something big comes. pity on the airport.

Dear All,

I feel a team of crooks working in Calicut Airport Customs Department. I was traveled through this airport on 15-09-2014 Air India DXB to CCJ, I was missed one of my Baggage and I complaint to Air India, because of this searching and complaining the baggage missing I was little late and all other my co passengers already left. I was carrying an LED TV at that time, in customs all most all officers are already on break and two crooks only pending there( One talking malayalam and another Hindi) . Too much talks about tax for LED and I agree to pay the stipulated tax. But this crooks are saying to pay the tax more than the value of TV, anyway they agree atlast to pay some amount but its actually a bribe to them, this i understood once i didnt get the reciept.
Even i questioned also at that time I was too tired also my one luggage is missing, so i didnt spent much time to argue.
Anyway those who eated my money without paying to Govt, sure will suffer soon from God.
Calicut Customs= calicut Crooks.

The worst airport i ever seen,bad and uncivilized behaivior,not educated staff,all they want is money especially if you are from gulf region,iam my self work in customs and know the rules but here in india its all what they care about is money.

Very Bad airport.. Bad staff behavior (Immigration officers, security staff and airline staff)lifts and convey belt not works properly..
It is necessary to show the passport to all staffs in the airport ?...

Customs officials seems to have there own timing depending on yes the Indian Std Time. Officials are seen sleeping at the counters whereas passengers are waiting in the hope they will be awake soon.
Its seems to be a crime or punishment for tavelling in early morning flight. Not a single proper restuarant with anything to eat. And when asked if any food is there the blunt answer is no food at night time.
airport toilet and entrance seems to a little better than the local rly station toilet.
No smoking room in sight or board mentioning the same is not allowed in the airport.
This is just few points. It far worse. And who has given the status of International airport God or Money might know as usual. And we r expecting a booom in attracting international visitors.
First and the last time i am travelling this way.
Seems to be still calicut airport officials think they r servicing animals and not human being

Pathetic Airport and services. The management even never care about providing a neat and clean toilet facility for passengers. You will see better toilets in a city bus stand.

Disappointing that high paid Airport staff never bother to ensure primary facilities to passengers who mostly come from abroad.

Sure I would never come that way again in my life!!!!

Hi, It is developing airport.Everything except the Customs officers are good. Beware of the Thendies(Slang for very bad people)there.Asking a lot of unnecessary questions and always trying to get some money from you.
