Total chaos at Arlanda Airport. The transport authority needs to FIX THIS!

I just had my first visit to Sweden - 90 minutes at Arlanda airport on a stopover from Kuala Lumpur to Newark. I had expected it to be a magical place, spotless and efficient, a paragon of Scandinavian competence.

Instead, it was a disaster. Nobody knew where we were supposed to go, even though this flight has been operating for years. I saw airport staff being so rude to some confused, elderly passengers that other passengers stepped in and told them off. The waiting area was filthy, with garbage under the seats and in the little fenced-off area along the window. There were only two food vendors in the area in which we were imprisoned, and despite it being in the middle of the day and very crowded, nobody was manning either one. All in all, a disgrace and an embarassment to Sweden.
